Don't get me wrong, I love haunt, but this year by far has been one of my shittiest years. There is this new point system that management has brought up to determine who is the best maze and street zone. I personally think it's stupid. It's a way of praising the winner for the night but telling everyone else 'Hey, you suck!'

My morale is extremely low, not feeling it as much this year. I have certain people telling me what to do and harping on me for shit that he has no right and place to do so. Fuck them. It is hard to not quit this year, as much as I want to. At the moment, I don't want to do haunt next year because I miss going to other Halloween events and I miss the rest. *sigh* I hope I can ride it out this year.

Haunt is tiring. School was tiring, but I’m finally done! I want to leave my day job, but not until the month is over. I got called for a job interview but blew it by not calling them back, all because I’m waiting for another opportunity, which I hope comes through. So much stuff and so little time to do it in.

Kudos to twistedsisters_haunt for motivating me to update...

anyway on with the show...or lack thereof.

Life is going great. I couldn't ask for more. A loving boyfriend, a wonderful family and friends, on the brink of graduation, as well as Knott's Scary Farm. Enter the month of NO SLEEP YAY.

But lately, I find myself, DOWN for some reason. I haven't quite pinpointed it, but have narrowed it down to too much worky, or not knowing what I am going to do once I graduate. You see, the dream is to have a good ol' 9-5 job straight out of college. I'd love that. I'm actually looking at the College Leadership Program that Kinko's offers. It's basically a management training program that sounds wonderful.

UNFORTUNATELY, there's a catch. Say that I was accepted into this. It would mean two whole months away from California in Dallas, Texas. I will miss my family, my friends, the California life, and most of all, my beloved Loc Loc. It would be hard, but I feel my relationship with everyone that I care about is strong enough to where that bond would just grow stronger if I left for a little bit.

So in conclusion, I seem to be worried about my future. I know I'm on the right track, so why do I find myself doubting...myself at times. Am I scared to move up in the world? Do I fear failure? Am I scared of growing up? Ya, it's all three.

A man a few weeks ago approached me at the gas station while I was on my way to work. I was of course in my Kinko's get up looking all professional. Me thinking the worst, thought he was some crazy old guy just looking to talk. But as we conversed, he started asking me what my major was, how I liked my job blah blah. He concluded with him saying he owned an e-commerce site and giving me his business card, telling me to call him when I'm ready. Now stupid me should have called him a few days later, but hesitated, scared of possible change. At the latest though, I will give him a call after I am done with school.

I'm 21...I feel the same too.

Lately, I've been hanging out at Loc's house. <3theLOCLOC.

It's been really hard to get off my ass and go to school, since my classes are extremely easy this term. I officially graduate in October, but don't actually have my ceremony until December. YAY B.S. Degree!!

My managers gave my haunt nerd self the OKAY to work at Knott's Scary Farm this year. Their quote, "Well, you'll be a zombie at Knott's and a zombie at Kinko's!" Yup, very true, but hell ya it's worth it. The people at my job r0x0r my s0x0rs. Heh, I had to go to Temecula to learn how to pack stuff FEDEX style. Geez they get all crazy with it, but it's good to know.

ARRR, I not be wanting to talk much on this journal and I don't know why I be talking like a pirate.

Off of work for two days, wish it would last longer...

Got to see Napoleon Dynamite, Farenheit 9/11, The Village, and King Arthur. Could have done without The stupid Village though.

Was able to head down to Huntington with Laura, Leah, and two of Leah's buds. Went to BJ's pizza and got to look at the beautiful water. <3Beach.

Shaved part of the top layer of my pinky nail in the shower by accident. Fuckin hurts. I guess all that overtime at work caught up to me.

Got to go to Knott's Scary Farm rehire with my new SWAMP MAN. Congrats honey!
My work schedule + school, limits the amount of time I want to spend with friends. It sucks. When you don't work, you can spend time wherever you want, but you can't really buy much unless you have other income. But when you work, you make money, but it becomes harder to spend time where you want. Go figure.

On Friday, I had to go to Laguna Beach for The Festival of Arts for my Contemporary Fine Arts class. I was told I had to write a paper on it for the class, so I kinda had to go. It was a decent time, I took my little brother whom I call Dee Dee to look at great art and not so great art. Afterwards, we ate at a little chinese place and went down to the beach for a little bit. I wrote in the sand for Loc Loc and hung out for a bit.

I was sitting with Dee Dee there and a random guy walks by.

Guy: "Nice night, isn't it?"
Me: "Ya, it's so beautiful right now"
Guy: *Looks at Dee Dee* "You got a great girl there man, don't let her go!"
Dee Dee: *cue look of disgust on face*

Short but fun night. And then I went home and did homework.

Saturday I was able to put in some time hanging out with the haunt buddies. It was good times seeing everyone, and calling Ed a billion times. Happy Birthday Ed! Even though I don't think he reads this, but it's the thought that counts dammit. Stayed the night at Loc Loc's and then left for work in the morning.

Yay work.

Yay I got to see Jade on Monday! It was so much fun ahh, I missed seeing you! We got to see I, Robot, which was surprisingly good. Afterwards, onto Koji's for sushi. I ate eel for the first time and MMM MMM! It came looking like a caterpillar, which you can view below:

When sushi was over, we just walked around The Block and then kinda headed over to Downtown Disney. I just wanted to go to the Lost Bar, but we ended up going in numerous stores and into Disneyland! See, it was fun Jade! Headed over to the normal rides (Pirates and Mansion) and then a ride on Indy. I finally got my Stitch balloon too yay! We left shortly afterwards because Jade parked in the Downtown lot and we didn't want to get charged. He drove me back to my car at The Block and we called it a night. Good times Jade, hope to see you again. We should get Nina Tortilla to come along next time!

Yesterday I was able to go see Spiderman 2 again with my babe. It was good the second time around to me. I dislike our different work schedules, so any time spent with him is so great! Love ya!

I just got home from Denny's with Laura and Leendra. Had to give Laura her birthday present: Sealab Season One. Laura you better share, I want to see that!

I'm done, peace out again.

I partied on Tuesday for Laura's 21st birthday. Yay for Downtown Disney and Mrs. Knott's!

I went the whole week without getting called into jury duty. I was supposed to go on a field trip Thursday, July 15, to Laguna for an art festival, but was too damn tired. Well my excuse for el teacher was jury duty, which I didn't really have. Well things love to bite me in the ass (refrain from taking that phrase elsewhere!) and I got real jury duty on Friday. Not too bad actually. Just remember two words...Financial Hardship!

Work wanted me to come in if I got out early. I got out early but heh, no coming in. Instead...

DISNEYLAND! Went with the Haunt buds. I bought Loc Loc a pass because I love him so. We all had so much fun. My highlight of the night was Matterhorn. Between hearing Dalana yell and hearing Mike and Loc Loc laugh on the ride, I kept laughing and ahh. I especially love that head chopper effect when you go under the bridge.

I'm hungry and I'm also wondering why the hell I'm up so late.

As Loc Loc put it: "Just as you're getting into the ride, it's done!"

And we finally saw Donkey!

<img src = "http://server6.uploadit.org/files/Fi2ittei2-donkey.jpg" </img>
Loc Loc, Donkey, Liza, and Phil

And one more pic for the road...

<img src = "http://server6.uploadit.org/files/Fi2ittei2-phonebooth.jpg" </img>
Loc Loc and Liza acting stupid in a phone booth

Dear Steve, I hope you're resting in peace right now buddy. You made my first few weeks at ODV easier on me. I remember one night being on Glow 8 I believe it was, in front of the TeaCups, and you showed me how to handle a hectic crowd with ease. That was my first memory of you. I remember you fixing up my fund on the ice cream wagon, showing me how to organize that evil cashbox. I recall nothing but you being nice, loving of friends and family. You were always one to lend out a hand, and I thank you for everything. Rest in peace Steve. -Heart-

woww

I've been playing this Hoobastank - The Reason song a LOT lately.

Why? Because I feel a sort of connection with some of the lyrics.

"I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
and the reason is you"

The ones you hang out with, can change your personality for a while, or perhaps forever change you. (Hi, Nina Tortilla , this thought jumped into my head from your journal) I was a different person when I was around a certain guy. I didn't like myself, and I was shutting out my friends because of him. In all, I was unhappy but was scared to change.

But NOW, I have a great guy, that those above lyrics pertain to. He taught me the things to look at in life, that I could balance a boyfriend and friends and family on top of school and work. I get time with him yet time to my other matters.

I'm a happier person now, due to change. I've actually been told that. And I have a boyfriend whom I LOVE and actually makes me SMILE and be HAPPY.

It's a scary feeling, LOVE. But wow, I miss Loc Loc more and more everyday. My feelings have become stronger for him. And when I'm not with him, boy do I think about him.

el BEACH

The week practically sucked because I was sick all week. I guess I got sick at DCA, all them floating germs and such. It was so bad that I missed school on Tuesday, but Loc Loc came over to visit me for a while. Thanks babe, I appreciated it.

Work is okay I guess. I am attached to these kids, but I am getting no satisfaction from the job whatsoever. Therefore, I am in search of a new job, but I'm not in a hurry. This job is prolly only going to last until summer anyway.

On Friday, I was able to hang out with Leah after she got off of work at Denny's. Good talking times of course, then off to Loc Loc's house for the evening. This was because we were going to the beach on Saturday morning!

Saturday morning, we went to the beach with his cousins Daniel and Barbara, and Daniel's wife, Tita. It was great, peaceful, and fun. Hell, I even went boogie boarding for the first time! I caught on to it pretty quickly and was able to eat it really bad too. I just remember turning in a circle under the water thanks to the wave it created. Oww, that hurt. I am thinking of investing in my own soon though hehe. And damn sand in places, that's the one thing I dislike about the beach. Then off to home and sleepy night night time for Loc Loc and Liza.

Now, I are at home today just bumming it. Mainly been watching Iron Chef and am looking forward to the Simpsons and a special on the upcoming movie Van Helsing . That movie better be good!

P.S. A Happy Six Months to Loc Loc and me, which was actually on Friday along with my buddy Jen's 21st Birthday!

Tower of Terror!!

I had the bestest time at the Disneyland Resort yesterday. I experienced it with Laura, her roommate Evy, and of course, my beloved Loc Loc. Why was it the bestest time you may ask? Well, I haven't been there in a long while, since December to be exact, and I was able to experience The Hollywood Tower Hotel : The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, before the general public.

Holy shit what a ride! This is a must see! I have been on the Florida one and both are great and have unique aspects. I am just envisioning the line queue on this one to go past the Hyperion Theater. Loc Loc and I were able to experience it 15 times. We could have ended on 13, but I had an odd feeling stopping on that number. Laura had 18 I believe and Evy had 16. Here are some pictures to enjoy:

Evy, Loc Loc, Liza, and Laura in front of the Tower

Loc Loc, Liza and Laura on the ride

A close up of the above pic

There's another pic of Loc Loc and I hugging like we're scared and Laura and Evy hugging like they're scared. Heh, I love how that one turned out, but I don't have that copy yet.

Loc Loc and I were able to enjoy lunch at Blue Bayou. Mmm MMMM!! Grub a dub food! The Snow White Musical...coulda passed on that, heh it was okay. Small "what's up?" With Jeff and Sarah which evolved into a small break from the Tower. Dude, we saw Nicolas Cage. That guy is hot in person and is so nice!! Loc Loc shook his hand! Ahhh. And he's got a sense of style. Black suit with pink pinstripes and a pink shirt underneath. WOW.

I'd just like to give a HUGE THANK YOU again to my bud Laura. Thank you for being a slave to the mouse so we could all enjoy going on Tower of Terror.

If you would like to see more pictures of the day, just ask me.
